In its nascent years, UMS operated from temporary facilities, with initial teaching and learning activities conducted at the Sabah Foundation Community College in Likas in 1995, followed by the Menggatal Telekom Training College in 1996 [1]. The first academic session in mid-1995 saw an enrollment of 205 undergraduate students [7].
